Teacher Experiences

Teacher Experiences are wonderful opportunities for your children to spend time outside of the classroom with their teachers. Teachers from each grade level have put together a fun Experience they think their grade will enjoy and some of the specialists have joined in on the fun as well. THANK YOU ALCOTT TEACHERS AND STAFF FOR GENEROUSLY GIVING YOUR TIME TO THE AUCTION!

Kindergarten Experience:

Each teacher will take one lucky Kindergarten student plus a friend to a pancake breakfast before school in the staff lounge on a mutually agreeable date. The top bidder from each of the 4 classrooms is the lucky winner. Teachers: Mrs. Dearden, Mrs. Wetherbee, Mrs. Donovan

1st Grade Experience:

Summer Camp Time with the first grade teachers. A child from each class plus 1 friend (total of 10 kids) will go to the playground and make an art project and do an outside summer camp activity. The teachers will also have snacks. Date of event is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, June 5, or Wednesday, June 12, after school. Teachers: Mrs. Epler, Mrs. Hiatt, Mrs. Holland, Mrs. Parkin, Mrs. Sterrett

2nd Grade Experience:

It’s a Movie and Ice Cream Sundae Bar Experience. 4 lucky 2nd graders can bring a friend to watch “Wreck it Ralph” and have ice cream sundaes with a variety of toppings and choices. This event will take place after school on Wednesday, May 8th. Teachers: Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Behrens, Ms. Brown, Mrs. Burke

3rd Grade Experience:

Floats and Fun! The Third Grade Teaching Team and Mrs. Wonder’s 2nd/3rd grade split, will have root beer floats and board games. 1 child from each class plus a friend will float away on Wednesday, May 8th, after school. Teachers: Mrs. Gable, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Gehring, Ms. Taylor, Mrs. Wonder

4th Grade Experience:

Movie Madness! One winner from each class can invite 3 friends for a movie and treats. The three winners get to choose the movie they want to watch. The time and date for this event will be mutually determined by the winners. Mr. Crain, Mr. Litke, Mrs. Zeitz

5th Grade Experience:

Winners Choice! The winner from each 5th grade class can bring 2 friends to a game or craft afternoon. The event will take place after school and snacks will be provided. Time and date for this event will be mutually determined. Ms. Lynch, Mrs. Spangenberg, Mrs. Weber

Chillin’ with Chen:

You and a friend meet Miss Chen at Mod Pizza in Redmond, then you head over to frozen yogurt at Zoe Yogurt! This is your chance to hang out with your favorite teacher! Event will be on a mutually agreed upon date and time. Parent will drive child to and from Bella Bottega shopping center.

PE Teacher for a Half Day:

One student will become "PE Teacher for a ½ Day" with Mr. Rabitoy! What kid wouldn't love that job? The student needs to be in grade 3-5. The date will be mutually agreed upon with Mr. Rabitoy, sometime before the end of this school year. The winning student will also receive an open gym for him/herself and 9 of his/her friends during lunch recess on that day.

Specialist Team:

$100 gift card to the Seattle Children’s Theater. Give the Gift of Theatre! Here is an invitation to experience life, literacy and the arts! Cards can be redeemed for show tickets, school matinees, drama school classes or gift shop memorabilia. Gift amounts can also be applied toward season subscriptions and charitable donations to SCT. Secretary for the Day:

Be an office manager for ½ the day with Mrs. Borrego. One lucky winner will learn how to answer phone calls, run errands for the teachers and will have a meeting about upcoming events with the principal. Event can take place for 2 hours at a mutually agreed upon time.

Cookie Baking with Mrs. Metzger:

1 lucky winner can bring 3 of their friends to bake cookies at Mrs. Metzger’s House. Date and time determined with the winner.

TRIPLE SLAM JAM!

Choose from a list of game options that Mr. Rabitoy will provide, followed by a fun musical activity, then go to the library and build your own ice cream sundae and enjoy a story or two. This event will be hosted for two age groups: K, 1st and 2nd is the first group and 3rd, 4th and 5th grade is the second group. To sign up, pay $20 per child. Each group is limited to 12 participants total. Triple Slam Jam will take place after May 1st on a weekday from 3:30 to 5pm.

The Big Hoops Game!

Select the team of 5th graders to play in the teachers vs. students basketball game, which will take place in June, 2013. Two items up for bid: One set will play the first half, and one set will play the second half. Thanks to Mr. Rabitoy and Mrs. Isaacson.
